Shikhar Dhawan has joined the ranks of young, good-looking sportspersons who're getting hitched.
The Delhi-based cricketer and IPL player revealed his wedding plans to DT, and showed us this picture of his fiancee, Esha Mukherjee. He also told us that it was fellow cricketer Bhajji who turned out to be the inadvertent fixer of this match!
Shikhar was all smiles when we met him recently at a Delhi do, where he was accompanied by Esha. Born in Australia, Esha is half English and half Bengali. She tells us, "My mother is English and my father is Bengali, and I speak fluent Bengali. I have been visiting India often as I have many relatives here. Shikhar and I got acquainted through a social networking site. We were common friends of Harbhajan Singh on the site, and it was Bhajji who introduced us." Says Shikhar, "We're engaged and planning to get married by the year-end. Marriage is not a priority for me right now; I want to concentrate on my game. So abhi toh nahin, lekin IPL season ke baad shayad kuch plan karenge."
And is Esha interested in cricket or sports? "I'm an amateur boxer and love sports," she says. "I love watching cricket and never miss any of Shikhar's matches." Shikhar will soon get busy with the IPL season, and she hopes to come back to India at that time. "I've been here for almost for a month, and will get back to Australia in few days. But I hope to come back for IPL," she adds.
There's no lack of cute lovey-dovey stories with this pair. Esha narrates one - "During the last IPL season, Shikhar was playing a match in Kolkata and he would send me messages in Bengali. I was surprised initially, but later found out that he would ask the hotel boy some Bengali words and would message me in Bangla! By now, he can understand Bengali and can also speak a few words," she says, laughing. At that, in a surprisingly filmi manner, Shikhar lovingly looks at Esha, takes her in his arms and says, "Ami tumake bhalo bashi..." Awww!

She's taken her time to return to acting but morning show host Sanam Baloch has bagged a role of a lifetime.
Sanam's signed on to play Mariam Mukhtar in a homage to the fighter pilot, who was Pakistan's first female fighter pilot to die in the line of duty. She plays the role in a tele-film directed by Sarmad Khoosat and produced by Urdu 1. Umera Ahmed has written the film.

|Facebook takes off Qandeel Baloch's page|

Facebook shut down internet sensation Qandeel Baloch's fan page after she was killed by her brother in an alleged honour killing this month.
Qandeel Baloch had over 700,000 fans on her Facebook page.
As part of its policy, the social media website adds 'remembering' to the profile of a person who has died. In case of fan page Facebook blocks it if it does not have more than one administrator.
Qandeel was the sole administrator of her page. And so Facebook has taken her page off the platform.Full Story
